  • Every Dispatch Drop starts with a simple order placed by someone who wants to support the hardworking professionals behind the headset.

    Whether you choose a specific communications center or spice things up with a random selection, we handle the coordination from start to finish.

    After your order is placed, you’ll receive a confirmation right away, followed by another notification when the Dispatch Drop has been successfully delivered.

    We work with a variety of delivery services including DoorDash, Instacart, local restaurants, pizza shops, and more — whatever works best for the receiving center and your selected order.

    Once everything is arranged, we notify the receiving department that a Dispatch Drop is on the way!

    We also love recognizing the agencies and individuals who make Dispatch Drops possible. We’ll share social media shoutouts highlighting both the sending and receiving departments to help spread positivity throughout the communications community.

    We always encourage participating agencies to take photos, share their experience online, and pay it forward with a Dispatch Drop of their very own!

    Whether you are a PSAP administrator looking to have some fun with a random ice cream delivery that winds up in North Dakota, a 911 dispatcher hoping to recognize a neighboring agency, or a Fire, Police, or EMS supervisor looking for an easy way to show appreciation during events like NPSTW, DispatchDrops is designed to make the process simple and fun.

    Community members, local businesses, and supporters are encouraged to participate as well. We love highlighting the agencies, organizations, and individuals who help make Dispatch Drops possible, and we’re always excited to involve the broader community through social media and shared recognition.

  • DispatchDrops deeply values our Police, Fire, and EMS response partners. While the primary focus of this initiative is recognizing and supporting 911 dispatchers and communications professionals, all public safety agencies are part of the broader community we aim to celebrate and connect.

    We always encourage recipients to share their Dispatch Drops with coworkers, responders, and partner agencies — after all, appreciation and good food are best enjoyed together!

    After all, if a drop comes in for a police or fire department, we won’t say no!

  • DispatchDrops is committed to transparency and making the most of every contribution.

    Contributions and Fees

    Because DispatchDrops operates through online ordering and delivery platforms, contributions may be subject to payment processing fees, taxes, delivery costs, service fees, and gratuity depending on the selected order type and receiving location.

    For example, a standard $50 contribution may result in approximately $47 being received by DispatchDrops after payment processing fees before delivery and fulfillment-related expenses are applied.

    Recommended contribution amounts may vary between products in order to help maximize the impact and overall experience for the receiving communications center. For example, pizza deliveries often require larger order totals due to taxes, delivery fees, and the higher cost of feeding larger groups.

    Dispatch Drops are currently offered in fixed contribution tiers to help maintain a simple, flexible, and consistent ordering experience. Multiple tiers may be combined or multiplied for larger Dispatch Drops.

    Because vendor pricing, taxes, delivery fees, regional availability, substitutions, and fulfillment costs can vary between locations and platforms, final order totals may occasionally differ slightly from the listed contribution amount.

    Efficiency and General Donation Fund

    In some cases, Dispatch Drops may slightly exceed the listed contribution value. When appropriate, Dispatch Drops may supplement minor differences using funds from the organization’s General Donations Fund in order to maximize the impact and effectiveness of the care delivery.

    Conversely, when discounts, promotions, or pricing efficiencies result in a final order total below the listed contribution amount, any remaining balance may be redirected into the General Donations Fund to support future Dispatch Drops, operational expenses, administrative costs, or other mission-aligned community support initiatives.

    Whenever possible, DispatchDrops works to stretch every contribution through discounts, subscription services, promotions, and careful coordination to ensure the greatest possible value reaches the receiving agency.

    Our mission is always to maximize the value, flexibility, and positive impact of every Dispatch Drop sent.

  • DispatchDrops is a charitable initiative focused on supporting emergency communications professionals through morale-focused care deliveries, appreciation programs, and community support efforts.

    All contributions made through DispatchDrops are voluntary mission-support contributions intended to help further the organization’s goals and related fulfillment activities.

    While contributors may select preferred care drop themes, categories, or recipient preferences, all Dispatch Drops are coordinated and fulfilled at the discretion of DispatchDrops based on operational considerations, recipient participation, and vendor availability.

    Dispatch Drop Fulfillment

    For random recipient orders, we make every reasonable effort to match the size and scope of the Dispatch Drop to the selected communications center whenever possible. For example, we aim to avoid sending a small order to a large regional communications center with extensive staffing.

    Our goal is to ensure every Dispatch Drop remains meaningful, enjoyable, and impactful for the professionals receiving it.

    Dispatch Drops are typically fulfilled within 24 hours whenever reasonably possible. However, fulfillment timelines may vary depending on vendor availability, delivery conditions, recipient coordination, weather, holidays, staffing, or elevated order volume. In the event of delays, we will make reasonable efforts to keep contributors informed throughout the process.

    Additional Information

    DispatchDrops coordinates deliveries using third-party vendors, restaurants, grocery providers, and delivery platforms. Final vendors, products, quantities, and delivery methods may vary depending on availability and operational conditions.

    Participation by recipient agencies and communications centers is voluntary and subject to local agency policies, operational requirements, and gift acceptance guidelines.

    DispatchDrops is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any communications center, public safety agency, restaurant, delivery platform, or third-party vendor unless explicitly stated.

    Charitable contribution deductibility, if applicable, is subject to applicable federal and state law and the organization’s tax-exempt status at the time of contribution. Contributors are encouraged to consult a qualified tax professional regarding individual tax matters.

    By contributing to or participating in DispatchDrops initiatives, users acknowledge and agree to the policies outlined above.
